Ingredients:
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 lbs sausage
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup Parmesan
- 1 box ready-to-cook lasagna noodles
- 1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 jar Alfredo sauce
- 2 jars tomato sauce(set aside a cup)
- 1 cup frozen spinach (thaw & squeeze out moisture)
Steps:
- Splash some olive oil into a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, saute just until they soften and lightly brown.
- Add the lean ground beef, using a wooden spoon to break up the pieces.
- When fully cooked, pour in the tomato sauce and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer the sauce while preparing the rest of the recipe—the season before layering together.
- In another saucepan, brown the sausage meat using a wooden spoon to break up the pieces.
- Add the spinach and Alfredo sauce. Simmer the sauce for ten minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly oil a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- To assemble the lasagna, layer the ingredients in the pan in this order: spread the set-aside tomato sauce covering the bottom of the pan, a layer of noodles, layer of meat sauce, Parmesan cheese, noodles, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, noodles.
- Repeat layering using up the remaining ingredients.
- Cover pan tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil for 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
- Serve and enjoy
