Waldorf Burger

Ingredients:

  • 8 portions of 3 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp ground garlic
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 8 Hamburger buns
  • Garlic butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • Grainy Dijon mustard
  • Arugula
  • Granny Smith apple, wedged and cut into thin slices
  • Red onion, finely julienned
  • Crumbly Blue Cheese; Stilton is nice
  • Walnut pieces

 

Steps:

  1. Mix the chuck, salt, pepper, garlic, and soy sauce.
  2. Weigh out 8-6oz portions of meat and form into patties.
  3. Grill the burger patties. 
  4. Garlic butter the buns and grill briefly to toast.
  5. Garnish the top of the bun with mayonnaise, grainy dijon, arugula, apple slices, and onion.
  6. Garnish the bottom of the bun with mayonnaise and grainy dijon.
  7. Place the cooked burger patty on the bun and garnish with crumbled cheese and walnuts.
  8. Serve and enjoy
